Maryland is often called “America in Miniature” because it consists of all geographical features of the rest of the USA. This is also true when it comes to weather. Whatever weather you can find across America, you can find in Calvert County at some point during the year.
July and August are our hottest summer months with several days in the 90’s, but our average summer temperature is wonderful at 74.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
Winter brings some snow (our average yearly snowfall is 19 inches - skiing is only 2 hours away) with our average winter temperature 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spring and Fall are perfect with daytime temperatures in the 60 degree Fahrenheit range, and moderate evenings in the 50 degree Fahrenheit range. Our average yearly precipitation is 43 inches.
